Las Vegas Anniversary Portrait Session | Lettie + German

It's always such a pleasure to hear from past couples and see how they're doing! I was so excited to hear from Lettie last month! We photographed their Las Vegas destination engagement and wedding 6 years ago!! They live in Southern California but were flying into Vegas to celebrate German's birthday and an early anniversary trip and decided it was time for some updated photos.  I couldn't agree more!  A lot of couples only have photos done for their engagement and wedding and then again when they start a family, they do family photos or just photos of the kids.  But, I think it's important for couples to get professional photos together after the wedding day.  Not only do they serve as reminders of where you are now in your life and relationship, but the experience of being together without distractions of everyday life and focusing on each other is so good for you! It's an opportunity to flirt (yes, married couples should totally flirt with each other!!!) and rekindle some of that romance! I highly recommend planning an anniversary session to our couples a few years into their marriage and periodically after that for milestone years.  I promise you won't regret it.  Just check out a few of my favorites from Lettie + German's session.  They totally rocked it out in the desert! Announcing: Date Night Mini Sessions

TK_2016_photosbyJessieEmeric-014.jpg

When was the last time you you and your love when out on a real date?  For you married couples, a trip to Home Depot and Chipotle afterwards doesn't count.  And for you engaged or dating couples this applies to you too!  For us, a real date night means putting in some effort.  It means, I'll wear my hair down, do my makeup, and wear a nice outfit. Something I feel good wearing. For Jason, well, he'll wear a button down shirt and we'll call that dressing up ;) We'll try out a new restaurant we've been dying to go to (I keep a list!) we'll share a bottle of wine, and enjoy our time together without distractions.  We may catch a show at The Smith Center, go see a movie, or just get some cocktails + dessert after dinner, the point is we took time out of our routine to slow down and be together! What's your ideal date night?

For the months of February and March why not put a fun spin on date night and meet me (Jessie) to get some amazing photos of the two of you together before you head out to enjoy your night! This is is a great way to celebrate an anniversary, celebrate your love, and life together.  Having photos together is so important.  They become visual reminders of how much you love each other.  They're proof that through thick and thin, you are there for each other.  These photos help tell part of your story, of where you are right now in life.  Whether that's a few or many years into your marriage or recently engaged, let me capture who you are together. Right now.  What do you say? Let's do this!

Las Vegas Engagement Session | Sam + Tony

Las_vegas_destination_Engagement_Photographer-3.jpg

Sam and Tony live in Southern California but have decided to have a Las Vegas destination wedding this summer at the beautiful Cili Restaurant at Bali Hai Golf Club.  They were recently in town to finalize the wedding day details and it was the perfect time for us to meet up in person and snap a few photos of them too!

Engagement sessions are the best!  They allow you to get to see what it's like to work with us.  It's a lot of fun, I promise ;)  Plus, we also get to know how you interact with each other and allows you to get comfortable in front of the camera.  And of course, you get some gorgeous photos of the two of you!! It's a win-win for sure!

We met up with Sam and Tony at their wedding venue so we could show them a few of our favorite spots and they could get a visual of how the wedding day would flow in regards to photography.  We sat and chatted a bit about what they could expect from us, we gave them some ideas and things to consider, but most importantly, we just got to know each other! I gotta say, I was really looking forward to their wedding day but now after hanging out with them a bit, I cannot wait!! They're just our kind of couple, totally in love with each other, super down to earth, and ready to have a great time at their wedding.  I know it's going to be a ton of fun! But, for now, I'll be happy sharing a few of my favorites from our session together with them.  The light was perfect and like I said, it really shows how in love these two are!!! XO
