A Las Vegas Vow Renewal | Ann-Marie + Milo

Ten years + 2 little ones later, Ann-Marie + Milo came back to where it all began to renew their vows to each other and their family! Anne-Marie and Milo own the successful International Wedding Institute in Paris, France, which specializes in vocational training in wedding planning, wedding design, wedding officiating, as well as workshops and optional master classes. We had met years ago when they were here in Vegas, learning about the destination wedding industry here and had kept in touch throughout the years. I was so excited when she contacted us about their trip and plans for their vow renewal.

Ann-Marie had an ambitious plan to capture her family in her favorite Las Vegas locations and ending their day in the same location they got married at 10 years ago. We discussed her ideas, the logistics, came up with a plan that would work well for everyone, and then we totally rocked it!

Our first stop was the Neon Museum! This is one of our favorite locations for an iconic Vegas vibe! It took some time for their baby boy to feel comfortable with us, but by our second stop, he was all smiles! Our second stop was the Bellagio Hotel and Casino, for another iconic Las Vegas destination! At this point, we took a break! It was time for everyone to freshen up and change to their vow renewal ceremony outfits and it also gave the kiddos some down time to relax!

We met up with Norma from Peachy Keen Unions for their desert vow renewal and it was super sweet and intimate. Having their kiddos be present to witness their recommitment to each other was so special and truly a gift. We’re so happy we got to be there to document the moment and capture some fun memories for them to cherish for many, many more years to come!

Destination Engagement Photography Session Ideas

Being Las Vegas photographers, we get a lot of couples from out of town. We have coupes coming from all parts of the country and all over the world and we absolutely love it! We love meeting couples and making friends around the globe! Today I want to talk a little bit about how you can have engagement photos with us even if you’re from out of town and are having a destination wedding in Las Vegas!

First of all, I just want to stress how beneficial having an engagement session is! Engagement photos are not in your wedding attire, so you get some great photos of the two of you together having fun and being flirty in your more natural element. That could be casual and relaxed or a little more dressy, like for a date night. It’s totally up to you and what you feel is a nice representation of who you are as a couple. And, because there’s no pressure of a timeline or family members, cocktail hour, bridal party, etc. we can have so much fun just getting to know each other and taking our time with photos and enjoying the processes. We’ve even been known to stop and grab a few beers mid-session! For our couples of course, not for us! Having this time together really puts you at ease and even more confident in your decision to hire us for your wedding. You’ll have some epic engagement photos to share with friends and family, so they too feel like they already know us on the wedding day. So, come day of, it’s like having old friends there with you capturing your wedding!

So, now that I’ve convinced you that an engagement session is kind of a must-have, here are a few ideas on how you can still get those fun, relaxed, images before your wedding day even if you are coming from out of town!

1. Schedule your engagement session on one of your site visit trips. Most couples will make a trip to Vegas a few months before their wedding day to finalize venue details, such as cake tastings, walk-thru, etc. This is also a great time to have a trial makeup session with your hair and makeup artist. And since you’ll have hair and makeup done, it’s the perfect time to get together and have engagement photos done too! These can be done at your venue or any other location in town! There are tons of options :)

2. Have us come to you. Having us travel to your hometown is a ton of fun. It gives you the opportunity to get some photos on your home turf, maybe your favorite park or coffee shop, the spot where he proposed or where you met, or just in a really cool spot that showcases your hometown. Our travel fees are super reasonable and we don’t even charge a travel fee for most of California, Utah, or Arizona!

3. Schedule your engagement session the week of your wedding day. Most couples arrive in Vegas a few days or even a week before their wedding day. This gives them time to enjoy what they love about Vegas and get some last minute details taken care of too. This could also include hair and makeup trail or even location scouting with us. Again, while we’re at it, let’s get your engagement session photos done and get to know each other better!

All that to say, I’m so excited to share that we’ll now be including an engagement session with our intimate wedding collections too! We already include an engagement session with our traditional wedding day collections, but we realized that our intimate destination wedding couples need engagement photos too! Simply because you are having a smaller, more intimate wedding day, doesn’t mean you can’t have engagement photos. I cannot wait to give all our couples this awesome experience and the epic engagement photos you deserve too!

Las Vegas Photographers | Behind the Scenes 2018

This year just flew by, huh!?! Well, there is no denying it was a great year filled with many beautiful weddings. We got to meet some amazing couples from all over the country and as far away as Canada, Turkey, and Australia! I say it every year and each year I think I mean it a little bit more when I say how much we love what we do!! Getting to photograph weddings is such a privilege and one we sure are grateful for.

At the end of every year, I like to give you all a look behind the scenes! It’s fun to look at our outtakes and how we photo bomb each other, sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. It’s also a glimpse into what you too can expect if you have us photograph your wedding, elopement, or portrait session and see what goes into making all the pretty photos you see on our feed! We don’t take ourselves too seriously and we want you to see that it’s going to be a fun time, for sure! We want you to see that we’re going to make sure your dress looks perfect, that your flowers are just right, that your family photos are done quickly and efficiently. But most importantly, that we’re there for you and want you to feel comfortable and relaxed with us!

We’ll sometimes get in each other’s shots! It’s inevitable…

Here’s the proof that we’re gonna make sure you look perfect! We’ll fix your dress, give you some direction on poses, and even share a sneak peek of the process with you!

And oh the group shots! I think these are always my favorite behind the scene shots! I mean, look at me, I look like I am about to chase down a ring bearer in one and I can’t tell if Jason is showing a bridal party where to stand or how to line dance!

Jason really has a way with kids too! ; )

We are great stand-ins for checking our lighting!

Sometimes I just like to put my camera down and just walk and talk with our couples, while Jason likes to multi-task and hardly ever puts his camera down!

Who doesn’t love a silly outtake! And for the record, I don’t normally take calls during portraits, but when the bride’s mother calls you pick up. I couldn’t let them get lost looking for the limo ;)

We love to laugh and be silly, but we’re working hard too!

At the end of the day, the connections and friendships we make with our couples and their friends and family is really what makes what we do so worth it!
