Las Vegas Photographers | Behind the Scenes 2018

This year just flew by, huh!?! Well, there is no denying it was a great year filled with many beautiful weddings. We got to meet some amazing couples from all over the country and as far away as Canada, Turkey, and Australia! I say it every year and each year I think I mean it a little bit more when I say how much we love what we do!! Getting to photograph weddings is such a privilege and one we sure are grateful for.

At the end of every year, I like to give you all a look behind the scenes! It’s fun to look at our outtakes and how we photo bomb each other, sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. It’s also a glimpse into what you too can expect if you have us photograph your wedding, elopement, or portrait session and see what goes into making all the pretty photos you see on our feed! We don’t take ourselves too seriously and we want you to see that it’s going to be a fun time, for sure! We want you to see that we’re going to make sure your dress looks perfect, that your flowers are just right, that your family photos are done quickly and efficiently. But most importantly, that we’re there for you and want you to feel comfortable and relaxed with us!

We’ll sometimes get in each other’s shots! It’s inevitable…

Here’s the proof that we’re gonna make sure you look perfect! We’ll fix your dress, give you some direction on poses, and even share a sneak peek of the process with you!

And oh the group shots! I think these are always my favorite behind the scene shots! I mean, look at me, I look like I am about to chase down a ring bearer in one and I can’t tell if Jason is showing a bridal party where to stand or how to line dance!

Jason really has a way with kids too! ; )

We are great stand-ins for checking our lighting!

Sometimes I just like to put my camera down and just walk and talk with our couples, while Jason likes to multi-task and hardly ever puts his camera down!

Who doesn’t love a silly outtake! And for the record, I don’t normally take calls during portraits, but when the bride’s mother calls you pick up. I couldn’t let them get lost looking for the limo ;)

We love to laugh and be silly, but we’re working hard too!

At the end of the day, the connections and friendships we make with our couples and their friends and family is really what makes what we do so worth it!

Announcing: Date Night Mini Sessions

TK_2016_photosbyJessieEmeric-014.jpg

When was the last time you you and your love when out on a real date?  For you married couples, a trip to Home Depot and Chipotle afterwards doesn't count.  And for you engaged or dating couples this applies to you too!  For us, a real date night means putting in some effort.  It means, I'll wear my hair down, do my makeup, and wear a nice outfit. Something I feel good wearing. For Jason, well, he'll wear a button down shirt and we'll call that dressing up ;) We'll try out a new restaurant we've been dying to go to (I keep a list!) we'll share a bottle of wine, and enjoy our time together without distractions.  We may catch a show at The Smith Center, go see a movie, or just get some cocktails + dessert after dinner, the point is we took time out of our routine to slow down and be together! What's your ideal date night?

For the months of February and March why not put a fun spin on date night and meet me (Jessie) to get some amazing photos of the two of you together before you head out to enjoy your night! This is is a great way to celebrate an anniversary, celebrate your love, and life together.  Having photos together is so important.  They become visual reminders of how much you love each other.  They're proof that through thick and thin, you are there for each other.  These photos help tell part of your story, of where you are right now in life.  Whether that's a few or many years into your marriage or recently engaged, let me capture who you are together. Right now.  What do you say? Let's do this!

A few fun location ideas are: Floyd Lamb Park, The Strip, Downtown, Arts District, Red Rock area.  Locations not available for mini sessions are: Lake Las Vegas, Nelson Ghost Town, Dry Lake Bed.  A 50% retainer is required to reserve your date.  jessie@theemerics.com | 702.481.2944

Las Vegas Engagement Session | Sam + Tony

Las_vegas_destination_Engagement_Photographer-3.jpg

Sam and Tony live in Southern California but have decided to have a Las Vegas destination wedding this summer at the beautiful Cili Restaurant at Bali Hai Golf Club.  They were recently in town to finalize the wedding day details and it was the perfect time for us to meet up in person and snap a few photos of them too!

Engagement sessions are the best!  They allow you to get to see what it's like to work with us.  It's a lot of fun, I promise ;)  Plus, we also get to know how you interact with each other and allows you to get comfortable in front of the camera.  And of course, you get some gorgeous photos of the two of you!! It's a win-win for sure!

We met up with Sam and Tony at their wedding venue so we could show them a few of our favorite spots and they could get a visual of how the wedding day would flow in regards to photography.  We sat and chatted a bit about what they could expect from us, we gave them some ideas and things to consider, but most importantly, we just got to know each other! I gotta say, I was really looking forward to their wedding day but now after hanging out with them a bit, I cannot wait!! They're just our kind of couple, totally in love with each other, super down to earth, and ready to have a great time at their wedding.  I know it's going to be a ton of fun! But, for now, I'll be happy sharing a few of my favorites from our session together with them.  The light was perfect and like I said, it really shows how in love these two are!!! XO
