Modern Las Vegas Destination Wedding

Las Vegas Destination Wedding | Emily + Pete

Having family all over the country and having recently moved across the country themselves, Emily and Pete decided Las Vegas was the perfect spot to celebrate their wedding and we couldn’t agree more! These two are super laid back, chill, and so much fun to be around.

We met up at the Elara Hotel where Emily was getting ready and dolled up by the lovely ladies of Makeup in the 702. Then, Jason met up with Pete, so these two love birds could have their first look before starting their amazing day!

They had about 50 friends and family members travel out to Vegas for their wedding and they knew they wanted to have a day that not only represented who they are as a couple, but also represented a bit of Vegas, so they tied the knot at the Chapel of the Flowers. (Side note: most chapels do not allow outside photographers, so ask before booking if they do or not. The ones that do will always charge an outside vendor fee of several hundred dollars to allow you to bring your own photographer.) After the ceremony, we went around and explored the downtown Fremont St. area with the newlyweds, while their guests were transported via private shuttle buses to the Wynn for their reception dinner.

Emily and Pete are a no-fuss kinda couple, so they weren’t too interested in having a traditional reception, with a first dance and the other traditional elements associated with wedding receptions. So, they opted instead to host a private dinner party at Le Cave Wine and Food Hideaway at the upscale and luxurious Wynn Resort and Casino. This ensured they could sit and mingle with all their guests, while enjoying gorgeous views of the strip, delicious food, and heart-felt toasts! With so many moving parts and logistics, they also had Faith of Faithfully Yours Weddings and Events help plan and coordinate their day! Ultimately, their wedding day turned out to be truly epic and completely their own, just as it should be. XO

Red Rock Country Club Wedding | Arvelle + Wayne

red_rock_country_club_wedding_las_vegas-31.jpg

Arvelle and Wayne came to Vegas from Canada with their closest friends and family to celebrate their union and the blending of their two families. I especially loved how they involved their children into the ceremony, by having Arvelle’s daughter walk down the aisle ahead of her being walked down by her son. It was such a sweet moment and one I’m sure they will always treasure. Then, during the ceremony, when it was time to exchange rings, Wayne’s two daughters presented them each. Another sweet moment, where I was glad to be behind the camera so no one could see me get teary eyed!!

After the ceremony, we took some time to get newlywed photos of the bride and groom, before they headed off to continue the celebration with their loved ones.

International Women's Day 2018 Bridesmaids Edition

I decided to use International Women's Day to give a shout out to all the bridesmaids out there standing by their friend on her wedding day.  Being a bridesmaid is such an honor, right? You get to be there for one of your best friends as she marries the man of her dreams.  You get to help her in the planning process, help her into her dress, and you gladly wait on her hand and foot that day! You apply lipstick and put her shoes on.  You make sure her champagne glass is always full.  You check for any hair out of place.  Heck, you may even help her as she goes to the bathroom because, whoever has tried to pee in a wedding dress knows, you're gonna need some help!
